Have A Nice Fit is devoted to improving workplace comfort, efficiency, and safety. We provide:

Almost everyone suffers from muscle fatigue or pain resulting from incorrect design or equipment use at some point. Over the years, this can lead to disabling injuries. Ergonomists call these injuries Repetitive Strain Injuries. They can occur at work, at home, at play, in your vehicle, pretty much anywhere. Often a combination of several similar activities using the same movements and forces accumulate to cause a Repetitive Strain Injury. Some people refer to this as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but in fact, carpal tunnel is only one type of repetitive strain injury and it isn't the most common one!

We are located in the California Sierra Foothills in Sonora and provide consulting services to Tuolumne, Calaveras, Mariposa, and Stanislaus Counties.

One of our primary focuses is to provide correct seating for a variety of industries. 80% of America's population suffers from back problems at some time. In addition, many problems with the legs, arms, shoulders and neck can be traced to either improper seating, seating adjustments, or the positioning of other equipment being frequently used. Our mission is to help people determine the source of their pain and fix the cause. By spending an hour with me, you will probably be able to drastically reduce your visits to the doctor or chiropractor because you will be eliminating the source of the problem.

Tamara graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology, emphasis in visual perception and human factors conducting her masters thesis at NASA Ames Research Center on the topic of visual perception anomalies potentially leading to pilot landing errors. After earning her degrees, she worked at General Electric in Daytona Beach, Florida and Link Flight Simulation in Sunnyvale, California as a human factors engineer, systems analyst, and supervisor of digital visual database design and production.

Tamara has consulted to SRI International (formerly Stanford Research Institute) in Menlo Park, CA. for five years and has been responsible for:

During a ten-year interval between her employment in the flight simulation industry and her involvement in the ergonomics field, Tamara was an award-winning jewelry designer and goldsmith. The experience in the jewelry industry provided first-hand experience in production along with the human factors and ergonomic problems involved in manufacturing and the jewelry industry.

Tamara is eager to help businesses reduce their risk for repetitive strain injuries through sales of ergonomic products and by finding solutions to sources of injury. She is happy to provide training classes, presentations, and workshops, and to work with employers to reduce their risk for workers compensation claims in the Mother Lode area.
